Planned Re-Opening Statement
Released by Carl Fox [updated May 11th, 2020]
Hi everyone, I wanted to take a few minutes to update you on what we are doing behind the scenes as we plan for the salons to reopen.
Firstly, thank you for your continued messages of support. They mean so much. The team and I miss each one of you dearly.
The safety of our guests and team members is paramount. We will follow all guidance issued by the Government and Public Health England specific to the hairdressing industry as a minimum. We may adopt policies and working practises, where appropriate, that go above and beyond published guidance. We realise that the intended measures set out below may change.
We are not permitted to re-open until 4th July at the earliest. When we do re-open, we will adopt the following steps:
✅ Guests who missed pre-existing bookings during the period of closure have been added to a rebooking list, in date order, and will be contacted first. We have a lot of guests to call, we aim to get through the list as quickly as we can.
✅ We will contact YOU to make your booking. Our telephone lines will be diverted to the office, with only one team member taking calls. We expect our phone lines to be extremely busy when we reopen, so please avoid calling the salon. Instead of calling please email enquiries to email@example.com
✅ If you did not have a pre-existing appointment during the period of closure, and you would like to added to our booking list, please email your booking requirements, including contact details to firstname.lastname@example.org
✅ We will observe social distancing guidelines. The number of guests and team members allowed in the salon will be reduced. We will stagger working hours, open for longer, and work on days that we would normally be closed.
✅ Our waiting areas are closed. Appointment start times will be staggered to avoid too many guests arriving at the same time. Please DO NOT arrive too early for your appointment; if you do you may be asked to wait outside.
✅ We will only permit the guest for whom the appointment is booked to enter the salon. Sadly, this means if you bring along friends or family members they will be turned away. This is for our guest’s and team’s safety and wellbeing.
✅ We are only able to perform the service that you have booked. This is to ensure we complete the service within the time allocated to your appointment.
✅ Please DO NOT come to the salon if you have any Coronavirus symptoms or have had symptoms in the 14 days prior to your appointment. Our team reserve the right to turn you away if they feel you are unwell.
✅ Please DO NOT come to the salon if you have received a letter telling you to shield.
✅ Upon entering the salon, you will be asked to hang your own coat. Please avoid wearing outdoor clothing to the salons; wherever possible please leave your coat in your car. Please do not bring unnecessary bags, oversized bags, or shopping bags of any kind to your appointment.
✅ You will be asked to wash and dry your hands thoroughly with the soap and paper towels provided, for a minimum of 20 seconds. Hand sanitiser gel will be available in salon also.
✅ You will be required to wear a face mask throughout your appointment, wherever possible please bring your own. If you are unable to bring a face mask we will have a limited supply available for sale at cost price. Your stylist will wear a face mask throughout your appointment.
✅ Magazines have been removed from the salon.
✅ We will not be serving refreshments.
✅ Payment for appointments will be limited to Credit or Debit card ONLY.
✅ Please remain seated throughout your appointment. You can continue to support us by purchasing home haircare, your stylist has a wealth of knowledge of everything we stock. He or She will help you with haircare needs and pick your take home products from our shelves for you.
As more information becomes available, we will update you. We cannot wait to reopen and see you all, it’s been far too long!
