The Trend for Natural-Looking Hair Colours at Fox Hair Design Salons in Barwell & Hinckley
Anyone who is nervous to take that step towards colouring their hair will love the new trend for natural-looking hair colours. Sadly, very few of us are blessed with beautiful hair colour so the 2019 trend for balayage, warm brunette lowlights and golden blonde highlights might just be what you need to pep up your hair!
Remember though, if you are new to hair colour or have not had your hair coloured at Fox Hair Design Salons in the past six months or more, it is essential you book in for a quick skin test 48 hours prior to your colour appointment.
Warm Blonde Hair Shades – Golden Highlights
What do we mean by warm blonde? This is when we veer towards golden tones, honey hues, buttery blondes and caramel blonde colours.
If you love hair that looks sun-kissed and a bit surfer chick, then ask your colourist to weave some warm blonde highlights through your hair.
Jennifer Lopez and Gisele Bundchen get this look spot on!
Bronde Balayage Hair Colours
If you mix blonde and brunette together, what do you get? Bronde!
This shade merges warm brunette shades with golden blonde which can be added as highlights or using the hand-painted balayage technique.
Balayage is where vertical strips of colour are painted onto the hair to accentuate your hairstyle and features – basically we add the golden bits where it is going to look most stunning when the sun picks it out!
Natural Ombré Hair Shades
Soft and natural ombré is big news this season!
The ombré technique is when we gradually make your hair lighter from the mid-lengths to the ends… and this looks beautiful when you choose a mixture of dark and light blonde shades.
As with balayage, ombré is a low maintenance hair colour which makes it ideal if you are new to colouring your hair. You can leave longer between visits to your local hairdressers as there will be no noticeable root growth… but we highly recommend you return every eight weeks for a toner to refresh your gorgeous blonde ends.
Brunette & Bronze Hair Colours
Give your brunette a subtle bronzed effect by adding some slightly red-toned highlights throughout.
Highlights can be as fine or as chunky as you wish so make sure you talk to your colour specialist about the look you desire.
If you want your highlights to be obvious, then ask for thicker weaves of red shades throughout your hair.
For those who want a subtle red hue that gives your hair a much-needed lift, then ask for fine highlights.
